About LGM-AS


Objectives:
Its basic task is maintenance of all kinds of activities in the field of Layered and Graded Materials, namely R&D, education, industrialization, commercialization, etc. In the focus of the SHS-AS are all kinds of ceramics-related activities.


Establishment:
The LGM Association was established in 2003 as a non-profit structural unit of the Institute of Topical Associations (ITA) within the World Academy of Ceramics.


Activities:

  • Sponsoring or Co-sponsoring with other Associations for holding International Symposia on Layered- and Graded Materials;
  • Assistance in organizing other international meetings;
  • Issue of the bibliographical bulletin on Layered- and Graded Materials;
  • Support of writing text-books, monographs, handbooks, etc. on Layered- and Graded Materials;
  • Popularization of current achievements success in the area of Layered- and Graded Materials;
  • Conferring of awards for outstanding achievements in the field of Layered- and Graded Materials.
